Please Remember All the Victims of 9/11
New York, NY – On the 14th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Citizens for the Extension of the James Zadroga Act released the following statement:
“Today, we ask Americans to remember all of the victims of 9/11 – those who died on that terrible day, those who have died in the years since, and those who continue to suffer as a result of the attacks.
“More than 33,000 Americans struggle every day with illnesses or injuries caused by 9/11.
“These heroes, many of whom lost their health in rescue and recovery operations, deserve the support of the American people – but they also need help. Medical care and compensation programs for 9/11 first responders and survivors will expire next year without quick action by Congress.
“As you reflect upon the events of fourteen years ago, please consider calling your representatives in Congress and letting them know that you support helping the heroes and heroines of 9/11. It’s the least we can do as a grateful nation.”
